It is unwavering, nor can it be changed. And this hope is Jesus and His Resurrection. Hope is not wishful thinking or mere blind optimism; it is a mode of knowing. Christian hope allows us to see beyond the brokenness of the present world and make our journey worth it. That hope is our reason to live. Jesus Christ’s resurrection gives Christians a living hope. The Resurrection of Jesus is the Core of Our Faith

The resurrection of Jesus is the heart of the good news. And in most cases, the gospel focuses on the cross, and the resurrection is mentioned only in passing. However, the resurrection is the core of the Christian message and should never be ignored or assumed since without it, Jesus’ death would go without divine interpretation, and none of Jesus’ promises would be trustworthy. The Christian life without the resurrection will be bleak and pointless and hopeless.  

The Resurrection of Jesus Justifies Us before God

Jesus’ resurrection is the source of Christian hope. Because He rose from the dead, we hope that we will be fully redeemed. This gives us hope that a new creation is coming and that everything wrong with the world will be made right. Paul once preached,

³⁸ “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 

³⁹ Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.”

Acts 13:38-39

Being forgiven of our grave sins and justified before God gives us tremendous hope. The resurrection of Jesus Christ changes Christians from being bound for hell to becoming forgiven with eternal inheritance in heaven. 

The Resurrection of Jesus Brings Forth Eternal Life

Often we are asked, “How can you believe in something you have never experienced?” It is a valid question that mankind cannot explain, considering no one has experienced resurrection. However, you do not have to experience something to believe it. It is a choice to believe, but there is nothing to lose believing in Christ’s resurrection. Believing in the resurrection brings forth an amazing truth, “You shall inherit eternal life,” this is the ultimate hope of mankind. Now, as new creations are coming, we can learn to follow Jesus’ light and walk with a life free from guilt, shame, and condemnation. 

The Resurrection of Jesus Gives the Joy of Knowing Christ is with Us Today

Jesus Christ, the central figure of Christianity, remains alive today. Because of this, Christians are also alive in a whole new way. It is a source of great joy for us that Jesus is coming and He will fulfill God’s promise. And this changes everything. He is a risen Savior brought down from heaven to give us great confidence. Through Him, we know that we will be victorious irrespective of the happening in the world. We have, therefore, already been changed by Jesus’ resurrection. 

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is living in every true Christian. God wants us not just to believe in the resurrection but to be transformed by it and receive the power we need to live the way we should.
